Horse Riding

For the past 3 years I have riding at the local riding school.  I have my own pony and so does my sister but we also ride ponies from the riding school.  On Sunday we went for  4 hour outrides round the mountain and across lots of the beaches.    I rode a super welshie called Smokey and he was very good.  There were 14 people on the ride and I was the 2nd youngest.  The only other two kids on the ride gave up half way because it was very hard and it was cold and raining but I finished the whole ride.

Me, my mom, my sister, my dad and 10 other people were on the ride.  Half way we stopped at the riding instructors house for lunch - soup to warm us up.

The other things we do at the riding school is help colllect horses from different fields, groom them, muck out stables, exercise ponies and horses, clean tack.  We also have a summer camp during the holidays and we have shows during the year.

So its quite interesting, the producers of the Kate Morag Movie came to our schools, here were we live, looking for kids who look like the characters in the books!  These kids were given auditions and now we are waiting to see who got chosen for the NEW MOVIE!  

Athletics

Hey, so I am now running for an Athletics Club.  Its been good and I have won a lot of races.  Been running 1300m, 2000m and some short races too.

I have travelled to far away places to compete and I have a few medals to show for it.

Most dangerous place on earth

Is  it the place where there is the least oxygen, or the coldest/hottest place or a volcano or the deepest part of the sea.....

Ducks

I was remembering today that we used live on a small farm.

We used to have lots of animals.  We used to have Mallard Ducks and they walk in a row and their babies are yellow and follow them everywhere, all in a line.  This is what Mallard Ducks look like.  The females are brown and the males have a green/blue colouring on the heads, in breeding season.  Out of breeding season they are quite plain.
